After Tyler died  I became a volunteer with Teenagers Road Accident Group (TRAG). I came across this organization when I was looking for a support group of parents who had lost a child to road trauma. I found TRAG and this has been my calling. I never ever imagined that I would publicly speak about my trauma. We present to over 4000 students per year. We present at the Mornington Community Theater and Casey Grammar during June and July each year. Here we have schools attend these venues with their Yr 12 students. Sometimes parents will bring their child along who has already left school before year 12 to see this program as it is so very important to all drivers. Anyone is welcome. There is no charge to see this presentation.  We would like to encourage Employers to allow their apprentices and young employees who may have left school at an early age to attend our presentation.  This is extremely important given they will be driving to and from their work place and possibly driving work vehicles

We all volunteer our time. This program is extremely powerful and very confronting resulting in some students having to remove themselves from the auditorium. I find it extremely difficult presenting our story but I put myself through the pain and tears to hopefully save another family from enduring this heart break. If Tyler’s story can save a life. We also present at Somers Camp during January and at HMAS Cerberus in December before the seamen head home for Christmas.
If your child’s school or TAFE  is not attending TRAG ask them why not?
